Spring has sprung... or has it?
We've been fighting off cold spells the last few nights, which makes me glad that I didn't find the time to plant my garden over Spring Break. Having 10 days in a row off was wonderful -- just long enough to spoil me into wishing for Summer Break!! Henry has been growing like a weed. He measured 26" when we were visiting the PA grandparents over Palm Sunday weekend and I think he may have had another growth spurt the two days after we returned from PA. In addition to all that, he has learned how to roll both front-to-back & back-to-front, though his shoulders are sometimes a bother in completing the roll successfully. Ooo! and I'm pretty sure munchkin is getting teeth... he's been drooling & gnawing on his (and everybody else's) hands like a rabid wolverine and I think I can finally feel a little something on his bottom gum. So, just in case, I thought I'd post one LASTmore toothless smile!

Thoughtful Thursday: Humility
Humility.
What does it mean to be humble?
Dictionary.com defines humility as:
Every now & again, God puts a word on my heart. This is the one that has been replaying in my mind all day today. Am I humble enough? If I'm honest with myself, I don't think I am (at least, not as humble as I could be). Let's face it, if I were at that Wedding Feast (parable in Luke 14), I'd probably worm myself into a seat 2/3 of the way up toward the head of the table -- after all, I may not be the most important person, but I'm pretty special ;)... then, of course, I'd be humbled when asked to move further down the table. ::sigh::
I need to remember that (1) I'm flawed, so I have no right to cast stones & (2) every person is loved by God -- whether they love Him back or not. If my Father loves someone, I should follow His example & pray for His forgiveness if I find myself thinking more of me than of them. Humility is a great thing to strive for (despite my difficulty with achieving it).

posting fail.
Well, i've already ruined my goal to post twice a month -- that didn't take long!! hahaha
Things have been going well, Henry's growing quickly & we've had lots and lots and lots of learning experiences together already... everything from peeing across the room and hitting the couch, to locking the baby in the car, plus a lot of daily/weekly things like poopacalypses & learning to pump while breastfeeding, etc.
It's hard to believe my little man is already 3 months old -- how the time flies!!
Time seems to run extra fast, now that i'm back at work 5 days a week... but the weekends are the fastest of all. I can't wait for Summer Break ;)
In the meantime, Henry wishes everyone a Happy Valentine's Day
and reminds you "Don't eat the flowers!"

i'm baaaaack... for now...
yes, once again, i fell off the face of the Earth -- at least as far as this blog is concerned...
... but this time i had an excellent reason:
Henry Ray
born 11/3/11
time has just flown by since he was born & it's almost time for me to return to work (boo hiss)!
i feel like all i do is feed him & watch him sleep on my lap (since he won't sleep anywhere else, except sometimes the car)... he's in for a rude awakening when he has to start at daycare, poor child!
will be doing my best to keep updating here... my goal is at least 2 times per month... we'll see how that goes, but it seems reasonable at this point.
